Every day is a gift!
Good morning! Today is Day 9 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we read about the precious gift of peace that Jesus left us. I think most people would agree that they want more peace in their life. The good news is that we can have it. But we have to make a decision to receive this gift from Jesus. The enemy is always going to try to bring us down. But we can’t allow him to have the upper hand. Will you accept the peace that Jesus is offering you?
Share in the comments: Is there something with today’s chapter of You Are Redeemed that resonates with you?
All the songs I have been sharing are contemporary Christian music. So for those of you who are looking for a familiar hymn, you will appreciate today’s song! It Is Well With My Soul By Anthem Lights
And here is the smartphone wallpaper image for the day:
So thankful that the Lord blesses us with peace when we pray and ask Him for it. And it truly is the peace that passes all understanding as there can be no other explanation to experience peace in the midst of a chaotic situation that should normally be very worrying.
I love that hymn.

It can be easy for me to get wrapped up in anxious thoughts when I am worried about something. But when I say aloud, “I trust You, God,” I feel that peace come over me. And I’m so glad you enjoyed the hymn. I love it too!

By the way, here is the history on the hymn, for anyone who is interested. I should’ve included this in the post. https://christiansread.wordpress.com/2018/11/08/it-is-well-with-my-soul/

“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
John 1:29 KJV
There’s just something about this verse that has my attention today. Thought I’d share it with you!

What an awesome gift peace is. In such a turbulent world it is so easy to be overwhelmed and stressed. But..
Jesus to the rescue! Just for the asking.

Yes! How wonderful that we can have that peace at any moment! The peace that surpasses all understanding! It’s awesome how God has provided us with every little thing that we will need as we walk this earth. 💜

A timely challenge. I woke at 4 AM, my brain zipping along, so many things to do. Instead of growing increasingly irritated, I rolled out of bed and did the things I was thinking about. It’s satisfying to look back and see what was accomplished. Being an abuse survivor, anxiety is a normal state of mind. My counselor assured me I didn’t want normal: I wanted healthy. I think embracing the gift of peace Jesus offers is healthy.

Yes! So true! The peace that surpasses all understanding does sound healthy to me. And for an abusive survivor, it sounds like such a wonderful, precious gift! I pray that you have that peace. And based on your day today, it sounds like you did have peace in your heart. ❤️

I swear God is all over your book! Every chapter goes right with my life! My papa passed away Friday and today was his funeral. He has 5 kids and they weren’t always so nice to each other. But he was always so at peace with them. He lived 90 happy years at peace. I hope to be able to find that peace. 💕

Oh no. I am so very sorry to hear that. 😢 But it sounds like he was a wonderful example of the love of Jesus. I imagine he was a blessing to all those he encountered. ❤️ I am praying for you and your family. And I pray that you too can have the peace that your papa had.
