The Redeemed Challenge – Day 25

Good morning! Today is Day 25 of the Redeemed Challenge! What a powerful and amazing privilege we have to be able to pray to God. In today’s chapter of the book, we are reminded that God hears our prayers. Whatever it is you are dealing with today, bring them to the Lord. Many times we view prayer as a last resort. But it should be our first step in any battle we are facing. Prayer is so very powerful. And God hears all of His children’s prayers. We might get discouraged when He doesn’t answer a prayer in the way we hoped. But that doesn’t mean He didn’t hear you or answer you. We have to trust that He knows what is best in our lives.

  1. How many times has someone told you..call me anytime! Can you imagine if you took that literally and called the next door neighbor at 2am for some ice for a warm soda or a “friend” at midnight just to chat? They mean well but don’t mean it literally. But God does. He’s there 24/7 and really WANTS His children to call any time..to tell Him their problems, to count their blessings, to say they’re sorry, just to spend some time with Him, to ask Him a question, or to tell Him they love Him!! He’s always glad to hear from you and He’ll never hang up on you! It doesn’t matter how or where you pray either. On our end we may need help or we may be scared. Or we may be saying good morning and thanking Him for another day as I did. I also thanked Him for Bridget…her time and God given talents have not gone unnoticed for these first 25 days!! What a blessing!

    • How amazing to think that the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords wants to hear from us! He loves us so much and wants an intimate relationship with us. He wants us to call on Him night and day! … I love how you thanked Him for a new day today! I know that He loved that too! And thank you so very much for the last part! And I thank God for you too! You are such a blessing! 😘💚

  2. I am reminded of 1 Peter 3:12 “ For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayers”.
Yes He does hears us, what a privilege that we can pray anytime, every time, anywhere and everywhere.
    Blessings to you Bridget 💙

    • I agree – what a privilege we have!

Thank You, Lord, that You welcome our prayers. You want us to be in close relationship with You. You want to hear from us. You want to help us. What an honor it is that we can speak to You at anytime and all the time! May we all grow in our prayer life and may we not take it for granted. In Jesus’ holy name we pray, Amen! ✝️

  3. I thought of how I have no trouble bringing my wants and needs to God and asking forgiveness and thanking Him. My struggle lies in learning to always add, “Thy will be done, not mine.” I’m able to start working on that, today.

    • This brought to mind Jesus and all the times He healed someone. He told them that if they believed and had faith, then they would be healed. But He never said it wasn’t God’s will to heal. 🤔

      • I was thinking of Gethsemane, when Jesus asks to have the cup pass from Him, “Thy will be done.” I also thought of Job, begging for healing, and Paul’s thorn in his flesh.

      • Very true. There will be prayers that don’t get answered the way we want. But God always hears us. And He always knows what is best. I’m thankful I don’t always get what I want because I am sure it’s for good reason. He is so good to us all the time! How can we ever doubt His love. I heard it said once that His no is just as loving as His yes! 💜

  4. There have been times when I prayed and thought He wasn’t listening because He didn’t answer. But now that I look back I’m so thankful that He didn’t do what I wanted. 😊
