Every day is a gift!
Pray: Dear God, we come to You with thanks in our hearts today. This gratitude challenge is opening our eyes to the goodness in our lives. In the past we might have grumbled about things not going the way we wanted. But practicing gratitude has shown us that times when we did not get what we hoped for, it was really You working behind the scenes to bring something better into our lives. We thank You for showing us this truth, Father. You always have our best interest in mind. Help us to never forget that. Too often in the past we have turned to different things that we thought would satisfy us. We tried to quench our thirst with worldly things. But we are learning that Jesus is the living water and truly the only thing that can ever fill us. God, we hand our lives over to You, in full surrender. We know that the world cannot meet our needs, but You can. We trust You, God. When we question the circumstances of our lives, we will remember that Your ways are better than our ways. We know Your greatness, God. Your power is endless and we are in awe of You. Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love. You are always looking out for us and helping us. You are there, even when we don’t feel it. And You are constantly working in our lives. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Practice Gratitude: What are you grateful for? I am grateful to know that God is always working in our lives, even when we don’t realize it. I am grateful to know that God has our best interest in mind. And I am grateful for the greatness of our God.
Praise. Here is today’s song! Enjoy! Greatness of Our God by Newsboys

We know that the world cannot meet our needs but only God can – Amen to that.
I am grateful that He knows what is best for me.
For a beautiful sunset that I got to enjoy today (it is late evening here now)
And I am thankful for a Christian radio station that we get to listen to here in Perth.
Blessings dear friend 🤗💙

Yes! Too often we turn to other people or things to fulfill us. When in truth God is always the One we should turn to…
“I am grateful that He knows what is best for me.” Yes!! Me too! How many times have I (or would have) messed things up on my own! What a comfort to know we can rely on God!
Oh I am so glad you got to see a pretty sunset too. I never tire of seeing God’s artwork!
And I totally agree with the radio station. I have a station that I love too.
Blessings to you too, my friend! ❤️

I have never felt more blessed and more grateful than I do now. God is awesome and I truly have learned to accept God’s not always giving me what I think I want…I call it saving me from myself. I don’t always understand why until much later but I accept His will with gratitude anyway knowing He is ALWAYS looking out for me. Many ways of my seeing things have slowly changed. Thank you for bringing me closer to my King! Love you, Bridget!

“Saving me from myself” – so very true! Oh I am so thankful to know that God is always protecting me, even from myself. I too have been learning more and more that He is always looking out for me. This year especially has helped me to have more peace in this area. Thank you for being here, my friend! You are a blessing who helps me learn as I walk in this path. Love you too! ❤️🥰

Today I’m grateful for being able to sit with God when I need peace, God’s sense of humor, and a Lord that can meet my needs in every situation.
I hope you have a blessed weekend!

Those are good ones. God’s sense of humor is not something I think about much. Hmmm. Thanks for pointing that out. I was thinking last night how we need to laugh more. So it’s funny you mentioned that. Thank you, my friend! I hope your weekend is blessed too ❤️

Today I woke up grateful; that in spite of the living situation being far less than ideal, I’m thankful that we have the means to make it more comfortable. I’m thankful for the rental car in the driveway that will allow us to see Rachel for thanksgiving. I’m thankful for being able to get away for a bit.
Fun fact: I took Rachel to a Newsboys concert when she was an early teenager (maybe around 13 yrs old), so more than 20 years ago!

I am glad you are able to find the positives, even though everything isn’t exactly how you’d prefer. And you guys have a nice couple of weeks to look forward to, spending time with family. About the concert- that is so cool!! And it’s cool to me that they are still going strong after all these years. Sadly, Third Day recently called it quits. But they were at it for a very long time too.

Oh! I didn’t hear about Third Day! That’s sad, but yes, they’ve been at it a while.
