Gratitude Challenge Day 24

Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, today we are overflowing with gratitude. You are always so good to us, even when we least deserve it. Looking back we can see where we have each taken a number of wrong turns in our lives. Some were intentional out of our own stubbornness. Other wrong turns were accidentally taken out of ignorance. But when we turn around and examine our past mistakes, we are in awe. We can see so clearly now that You were always there, ready to guide us back to the right road. Lord, when we look back on our lives, we can see countess times when You have been there, carrying us and helping us. You are a loving Shepherd who always brings His sheep back home. Just like in the story of the prodigal son, You run towards us with Your arms wide open. It brings tears to our eyes to imagine this scene, to imagine how overjoyed You are to accept each of us into Your family. Father, we are overwhelmed by Your love and Your faithfulness and Your goodness. We can never thank You enough, for Your unfailing love. We can never thank You enough for our Redeemer, and for the fact that our Redeemer lives. Even when we get lost in this journey of life, our Redeemer is guiding us back to where we belong. Our Redeemer speaks to us and loves us. What a beautiful feeling that is, Lord. We are so thankful. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Practice Gratitude: Write down at least three things you are thankful for. I am thankful that God always guides us back to the right path, if we allow Him to. I am thankful for our loving Shepherd. I am overwhelmed with gratitude when I picture our Heavenly Father running towards us with His arms wide open. And I am thankful that our Redeemer lives!

Praise. Here is today’s song! Enjoy! Redeemer by Nicole C. Mullen

  1. I’m grateful for the directions God has given me for my life. I hate being lost 😡 . It causes a lot of undue stress. I’m so thankful that He has directed my path! I just need to say on that path!!

  2. What a beautiful prayer 🙏🏽.
I am thankful that He is good to us always.
That He guides us back to the right path.
That He protects us from unseen wrongs and evils
And for the feeling of being so loved – that sense of belonging to Him beats everything else.
    Blessings my friend 💙

    • I am glad you enjoyed the prayer. I agree with all that you said. And I love your last statement especially!! This reminds me of a song I heard on the radio this morning “More Than Anything” by Natalie Grant. “Help me want the Healer, more than the healing. Help me want the Savior, more than the saving. Help me want the Giver, more than the giving.” 😭✝️🙏
Thank you for sharing and blessings to you too my dear friend! ❤️🥰

  3. Great song choice again! I’m thankful I’m in DC. I’m thankful for the people I’m with. And I’m thankful for chilly nights. 😊

  4. I’m grateful I can text my sister, for her husband that’s brilliant when it comes to cars, and for service centers that replace dead car batteries. 🙂
