Every day is a gift!
Hi Friends! Over the month of July I will be revisiting some past posts. Today I am sharing my 2020 posts on the subject of praising God. When the pandemic hit last year, I quickly learned the importance of praising God. I read through the book of Psalms, reading five Psalms a day. And I implemented praise into my daily life. Instead of feeling down, as many were during those months, I felt a new sense of peace. It amazed me how much praising God could lift our spirits. This is because when we focus on praising God, we are concentrating on His goodness, not on our worries. Whether you are struggling with anything right now or not, I encourage you to make praising God part of your life. It will bring you joy as you cling to the magnificence of our Lord and Savior. Below are the posts I shared last spring, if you are interested in reading any of them again. Personally, I have needed to revisit the importance of praise lately in my own life. So perhaps you do as well. If so, I hope this brings you some encouragement to praise God through life’s ups and downs.

I do think it is good to remind ourselves of how important it is to praise God every day, through whatever situation we are going through. Praising God really changes our perspective.
I feel like for me I was slackening off in how much I should have been praising Him. Your post made me pause and think about it and reminded me to lean into praising Him more.
Blessings my friend 🌺💙🤗

Yes I agree! Praising God does help alter our perspective. And I too had slacked off in praising Him. And I could see how NOT praising Him had a negative impact on my emotions, especially when difficulties arose. So, recently I made an effort to focus on praising the Lord once again and it helped turn my heart around. I am so glad this post has helped you to get back into praising God too! Thanks so much for commenting. Blessings to you too, my friend! 💕🌸

I agree! Reading the Psalms helped me so much during the pandemic. And I have been reading through them again these past few weeks. They help me keep things in perspective and remind me how amazing our God is. I like that you used the word comfort, because that is what they have been doing for me lately, as I have had a lot of stressful changes in my life. Thank you for reading and commenting! ❤️

Such a blessing to know there are answers that give peace and comfort when we go to His word. It’s neat how different verses speak to different people’s situations.

Sometimes, while in the middle of a crisis, it’s hard to praise God. But that is the time when it is most important! I am in a place like that right now, Bridget. Someone I love dearly is in the throes of addiction. Things are coming to a head and I do not know what will become of them. Please pray with me that this person will choose to go to rehab, and that the communication lines between his mother and me will remain open. Thank you, and God Bless.

I am so sorry you have been down! Sometimes I get in those funks too. And I don’t always know why I am feeling that way. But I am so thankful to know that we can turn to the Lord and He will help lift our spirits. I am praying for you, my friend! ❤️
