Gratitude Challenge 2023 – Day 19
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. – Psalm 18:33
God, You help us to reach new heights. You lift us up when we are down. Even when we feel pressure all around, we can believe that everything is going to be alright, because we know You are with us. You are fighting our battles. You are constantly working in our lives. We stand tall because we know You are our strength. We love you and we trust You. In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
I’m thankful the Lord causes me to stand on new heights. I’m thankful for Sabbath Sunday. And I’m thankful for nudges from the Holy Spirit.

I am thankful to be able to learn from and gain perspective through some challenging situations with friends.

That’s a good one, Manu. I was recently thinking how sometimes we learn when we look back at the situations we walked through. Hindsight helps us see what God was up to. But what a blessing to learn and gain perspective in the midst of the situation. Thank you for sharing that.

Animals and nature are such vivid reminders of God’s faithfulness. Animals go about their task everyday and do not worry about tomorrow. We can learn a lot from them. Sunday is an intentional day of rest for me too. So I am thankful for that. Also thankful to be off of work this week.

A good point about learning from animals. We can learn to trust God with each day, just as they do. (And it’s funny you should mention that because yesterday I had to scold my pup for being naughty. Later my husband and I were talking about how forgiving our dog was. He didn’t hold a grudge. I told my husband we can learn a lot from our dog. 🐶) I’m so glad you have this week off. That’s wonderful. I pray your week is peaceful and lovely.
