Gratitude Challenge 2023 – Day 26

Photo taken September 30, 2023

Be exalted in your strength, Lord; we will sing and praise your might. – Psalm 21:13

Dear God, You are good and You are mighty. May we sing Your praises today and every day. No matter what comes our way, You still deserve our praise. Your mercy and grace have saved us and rescued us. When we keep that in mind, it makes us want to praise You every moment. We are thankful for You, Lord. In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.

I’m thankful that I can praise God. I’m thankful for His strength and might. I’m thankful for His grace and mercy. And I’m thankful that my dog reminds me to slow down, breathe, and smell the “roses.”

What are you thankful for today?

  1. I’m thankful for my dog, too. He’s diabetic and has a heart condition. Both require extra attention from my wife and me. Cooper needs our help to survive and thrive. I want to daily trust in God the same way.
I’m enjoying your gratitude challenge, Bridget. Way to go, posting every day! Blessings.

    • Aw, I’m sure your dog is sweet and appreciates all you guys do for him. But I agree, I want to trust God daily for everything, just as our pets trust us. 🙏 And I’m glad you are enjoying the gratitude challenge. I can’t believe we only have a few days left! 😱

  2. Love the picture of your dog! I have not had a dog for years, but our dogs name was Toi. She was a papillon and very playful and joyful. I’m thankful for the joy of the Lord that sustains me each day. Blessings, Bridget! And I agree with David, way to go on posting every day. I’m enjoying the gratitude challenge too. I look forward to it. 🤗

  3. I’m thankful that all of creation points us back to our creator. ❤️ I love that even animals in our lives can teach us when we need it. They’re all part of God’s plan. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Yes Lord, we give you praise because you are worthy of it.
I love how dogs can remind us to take things slow and appreciate what we have around us. And like some of the others have shared, the dependence and trust pets have in us is something that always reminds me of how I should be with God.
