I thought it would be fun to discuss books! In this post, I will share what books I am currently reading.
As a book lover, I have a habit of reading multiple books at any given time. When I have a new book, I am usually eager to read it. So I start right away, even though I have not finished my current read yet.
Here are the books which I am currently reading:
1 – The Holy Bible. This one is always on my list. The best book ever. It is a personal letter from God to His children. The more we read God’s word, the more clearly we will hear His voice.
2 – The Book of Revelation Made Clear by Tim LaHaye and Timothy Parker. I don’t know about you, but I find the book of Revelation to be confusing at times. This book helps clear up the Bible’s final book.
3 – Kind Is the New Classy by Candace Cameron Bure (with Ami McConnell). It is so refreshing to find a popular actress whose life revolves around the Lord. What an inspiration Candace is to me and to so many others. I am so proud of her for always standing up for what she believes in, even when faced with severe adversity.
4 – The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi by Kathie Lee Gifford (with Rabbi Jason Sobel). My mother saw this book on television and mentioned it to me. I never really knew a lot about Kathie Lee Gifford, except that she was a talk show host and married to a former football player. But now that I know she is a Christian who loves digging deep into The Word, I have a newfound appreciation for her.
5 – A Heart Like His by Beth Moore. This is a Bible Study on King David. One interesting tidbit about David is that he wasn’t perfect. He was human and he made mistakes, just like we do. Yet he was called a man after God’s own heart. There is much we can glean from this man.
6 – Word Writers®: Ephesians by Denise J. Hughes. This is a study on the book of Ephesians. But it is different than most Bible studies. It encourages the reader to write out the text, rather than merely reading it. This helps us to slow down, savor, and ultimately gain more insight.
