Every day is a gift!
Good morning! Today is Day 7 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we read how the Spirit that lives in you is greater than the spirit that lives in the world. This is good news as Christians who live in this world. It’s no secret that life can be a challenge at times. Everywhere we turn we will see difficulties and struggles. But we can’t allow it to bring us down. We have to finish the race strong. We already have the strength inside us to press forward.

Don’t forget to listen to the song for the day!!!!!!! Greater by Mercy Me
And here is the smartphone wallpaper image for the day:
What a way to start my day! I am ready to face it with the spirit within me to challenge the pot holes of life! And this mornings song put pep in my step! Thank you, Bridget!

Today’s Bible verse reminds me of the story in the Old Testament with Elisha, his servant, and the army of angels. No matter what we are facing, God has us!! 💜

I too thought of Elisha: They that be with us are more than they that be with them. Powerful. I love this song! I’ve always thought in terms of the world as the world “out there.” This is the first time I’ve realized that the world I’m fighting most often the one in my head, the one created by those closest to me. Why have I allowed them to hold more power than the One who conquered the cross? That ends, now.

AMEN to that! And I, like you, have also thought about it as “out there.” But you’re right, the enemy does start in our minds. All too often it is so easy for him to get the best of us in our heads. (And I would venture to say that more often than not, he goes through other people to get to us.) This is a battlefield and we need to fight. When I feel he is trying to get to me, I have gotten in the habit of saying out loud, “Satan, I rebuke you, in the name of Jesus. Get out of my life, get out of my house, get away from my loved ones.” God is good and He’s got your back!! 💜✝️💜

I just love Mercy Me! This chapter really made me stop and think. I feel like I walk on the right path but I realize that I stray every time I let my insecurities and self-doubt take over.

Very good point! I think that is a common problem. The enemy wants us to focus on our insecurities because it keeps us from making progress. But the power of God is living inside us! When we remember that, we will see victory! 💜

You’re daughter sounds smart. I don’t like watching the news either. It’s too depressing for me. Focusing on positive and uplifting things keeps me going! 🌟
