Every day is a gift!
God has been nudging me lately to slow down and prioritize my time. He has impressed upon my heart the need to make space for Him and hearing His voice.
It can be so easy to get caught up in our day-to-day lives, projects at work, household chores, and caring for our loved ones. Our lives are often packed from morning to night.
But we can still be intentional about making space for God in our lives. When we make more space for Him, we can hear His voice more clearly and we come to know Him on a deeper level.
Two of my favorite Oklahoma friends recently had posts that helped me ponder the importance of making space for God and His voice.
Check out Summer‘s post – Oh, Just Stop.
And David’s post – Motion Activated.
And David’s post – Recharged.
I’m keeping my post short today, so you can read the posts above. But as you go through your day today, take a moment here and there to pause and notice God in your life. He is always there, helping and guiding, providing and protecting. He never takes His eyes off of you.
And when He speaks, let’s be available to listen.
Thank you for stopping by! God bless!

It’s better to pay attention to the nudge than wait for the kick. Thanks for sharing what the Lord is doing in your life, Bridget, and for taking time to jot it down for us as a timely reminder.

Rainer needs to trade mark that one, and many of the other witty things he says!

Thank you for linking back to my posts! It’s wonderful how bloggers build off of each other. I don’t think I ever said, “Make space for God,” but that’s exactly what I was talking about!

You’re welcome! Both posts were encouraging and I wanted to pass along the encouragement to others. I agree. It is wonderful how we build off each other. I love our community here! Thank you for the reminders to “make space for God!” 😁

So timely! This goes along with our sermon this morning of prayer. My pastor also referenced Martin Luther who said “I have so much to do today so I need to pray for 3 hours instead of 2.” Our days will change for the better when we slow down and spend time with God, giving him our cares and worries instead, seeing what He’s done already and giving Him our time to do even more. Not that prayer takes away our many things, but our lives change through the things.
Great reminder ❤️ Thanks for sharing and including our posts!

Oh yes! I’ve heard that quote before and it is a great reminder 🙏🏻 And such a great point about prayer helping guide us and shape us, even in the midst of hectic times. You’re welcome, Summer! I appreciated the encouragement you had in your post, and I’m glad I can share the insight with others. ♥️

If I don’t start my day with God, it tends to go sideways pretty quickly.

I agree! I have gone through seasons when I didn’t make time with God a priority and looking back I can see what a huge difference it makes. How amazing it is that God supplies all our needs, even our daily nourishment. ✝️

It’s so easy for everyday things to crowd out what’s really important.

Very true. And I have found in my life that there are time wasters that can be easily squashed if I pay attention. I used to think I always had to be doing something productive. But I am learning sometimes finding spare moments to just sit with God is the best thing I can do.

Bridget, again such a good reminder. Spending time with God- without that I tend to feel like a headless chook.

I know exactly what you mean. My day is in disarray when God is not my first priority. But not only does God provide an answer, but also He IS the answer! He is all we need. ♥️
