Happy November

Wow! November already! 😱 Time really does fly!

As many of you know, I often like to focus on gratitude during the month of November. However, since we are still working our way through the book of Hebrews, and I have quite a bit going on this month, I’m not prepared to hold an official gratitude challenge right now. I might consider doing something later in the month, but I’m not sure if I’ll have the time. So, I’m not making any promises! 😅

With that said, I still want to encourage you to make gratitude a focus this month. There are many ways you can do this. You might write down the things you are thankful for, spend some time reading through the Psalms, or find your own unique way to express your gratitude to God for all His goodness. He is certainly worthy of our praise and thanksgiving!

I know life can be difficult. And sometimes, when we’re facing trials, it can be challenging to focus on gratitude. But those are often the very times when we need it most! Gratitude helps turn our focus away from our problems and toward the many blessings in our lives. It reminds us that, even in difficult circumstances, we have so much to be thankful for.

Our problems may not disappear, but they won’t seem quite so overwhelming when we allow ourselves to be overwhelmed by the goodness of God!

My hope is that over the coming weeks, you’ll become more aware of God’s hand at work in your life. Remember, He is always with us. He is our Good Shepherd, our faithful guide, and our ever-present companion. There is always a reason to give Him thanks!

And I will leave you with this short, five-minute video, which I have shared numerous times before. Several years ago, poet Daryl Madden shared it with me, and it still inspires me every time I watch it.

    • Thank you, Judy! I agree – it’s so easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and lose sight of all we have to be thankful for. I’m glad the reminder was encouraging! 🤗

It’s amazing how shifting our focus to God’s goodness can change our perspective, even when our circumstances haven’t changed. So thankful for that truth! Hope you have a wonderful November, too! 🍂🍁
