Every day is a gift!
Good morning! Today is Day 16 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we discuss one of the most beautiful verses in the Bible where it tells us that although people look at outward appearances, God looks at our hearts. The Bible verse in today’s chapter is one of my favorites. I think it’s safe to say that we all have been misunderstood or overlooked at times. But we don’t have to let other people’s opinions bring us down. When you feel like you don’t belong, remember that God sees your heart.

Don’t forget to listen to the song for the day!!!!!!! Who I Am by Blanca
And here is the smartphone wallpaper image for the day:
Oh, Lord…may I see others for their hearts only today and every day. AMEN. Indeed I have been overlooked and rejected but I would rather bear that pain than to ever inflict it on others with my own ignorance!

Yes and Amen! I think when we have been overlooked and rejected ourselves, it does help us to be more compassionate, understanding, and loving towards others.
For some reason, this reminded me of the Peace prayer by St. Francis of Assisi…
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

This is also one my favorites! I’ve paired it with a quote by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, from “The Little Prince” : It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
I love that this came up, today. Yesterday, someone was lamenting that they didn’t fit in. I took the opportunity to acknowledge that I don’t fit in either and thank God. Because I don’t fit in, I’ve explored a wide variety of interests. I’ve gone places, learned things, and met wonderful people I would have missed out on if I hadn’t been looking for a place to fit.

Thank you for sharing that quote. I will have to write that one down… And thank you for your perspective. I love that! What a wonderful and bright way to look at! I never thought of it that way. But you’re absolutely right. 💜

This reminds me of why I’ve been blessed to homeschool my daughter. I’ve had people say “aren’t you worried about her not getting socialization and being different?” My answer is not at all. I don’t want her “fitting in” with the worldly view. She’s socialized with the right people and not the wrong crowd. 🙂

Yes very good point! What you are doing is wonderful! Don’t worry about what other people think! It’s between your family and the Lord❣️
