The Redeemed Challenge – Day 29

Good morning! Today is Day 29 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we read that we have been set free. Maybe you know that when you gave your heart to Jesus, that meant you were free. But I think many Christians still struggle with allowing this truth to seep within their soul. For those who believe and accept Jesus into their lives, they have the ultimate freedom. Freedom from sin, freedom from death, freedom from the chains of the enemy. We were once enslaved to our flesh and sinful nature. But our old selves died on the cross with Jesus, and we became new creatures. Reflecting on how we have been set free makes me feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. What an awesome gift we have! But that’s not all. As Christians we also have free access to our Father. We can call on Him at any moment of any day, and He will always answer. How amazing that we can go to Him in prayer at any given time! Take a moment today to thank God for your true freedom through Jesus!

  1. Thank you God for sending your son to be my saviour and setting me free 🙏🏼.
I am sharing a quote about true freedom by John Piper
“You are fully free when you have the desire, the ability, and the opportunity to do what will leave you with no regrets forever.”
And that is what being spiritually free is like – is what he says.

Have been enjoying going through these beautiful devotions with you everyday. Cannot believe that we just have 1 more day to go. You need to write more so we can do more of these 😁.

    • Oh I love that quote! Thank you for sharing!! I will write that one down. 💜

I can’t believe it’s almost over either! I am going to miss having this community like we did! It has been such a blessing to me, to get to fellowship with friends like you for the past month! 💜

  2. I appreciated the assurance that some old habits will have to be laid at the cross more than once, but it will become easier with practice. Someday, those habits will be left forever. I’ve taken freedom for granted. Thanking God for such a priceless gift.

  3. Sometimes it seems like I’m giving it to the Lord and then I’m taking it back. Especially when it comes to anger and bitterness about things from my past. I know eventually I’ll be able to give and let go and I can’t wait to be FREE!!!
