Hummingbirds
Pauline over at Back Porch Studio is often posting pictures of the critters in her yard. In her recent post, One Day Around the Watering Hole, she featured the shenanigans of birds and squirrels.
Pauline is also a talented artist who loves sharing her pottery creations. If you browse some of her posts, you will find some interesting reads and pictures. And you can purchase some of her beautiful creations in her Etsy shop!
Pauline has inspired me to share some pictures of our hummingbirds. These were taken with my phone, so they’re not the best quality. But they are still fun shots.
As I told Pauline, one of the little guys was chirping at me. He might have been upset that I was too close to his feeder. But Pauline thinks he was saying hi. 😁

Love this! We have squirrel shenanigans at our house 😂 we call him Buster. He comes by the front door and looks in before going down to the front porch steps and in the yard where he frequently looks up at the door. Animals are so funny. 😆

Oh he sounds so cute! Yes they are funny. Our dog likes watching the squirrels in the yard.

Yes! We see them chasing each other away all the time. We have 4 feeders, so there should be plenty of room for everyone. 🤔

Thank you! I agree. It’s definitely hard not to snap the pictures. Many times they are skittish and will fly away if I move to pull out my phone. I’m glad they weren’t too shy on this day.

Thank you, Manu. I’m glad you enjoyed the pictures. I looked it up, and my internet search tells me hummingbirds are native to the Americas and no other continents. So it sounds like you don’t have them in your area. 😞 They are very cute little guys. 💕

This is cute!! Her pottery is REALLY nice too! Funny thing, in the area I live we rarely get hummingbirds but this past week we’ve had several visit our patio. I’ve been taking pictures and videos whenever I spot them. ❤️
