Every day is a gift!
Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You today for providing for us and caring for us. We are so thankful to know that we can cling to You every single day. We are thankful for the jobs, homes, family members, and friends you have blessed us with. They are truly precious gifts from above. But ultimately we are thankful to have You, because You are enough. It is amazing to know that You want our days to be filled with joy. Keeping this in mind helps us to begin our days with a song in our hearts. We remember the words in Psalm 69:30 which says, “Then I will praise God’s name with singing, and I will honor Him with thanksgiving.” God, we know that the enemy will put things in our paths to bring us down. But we won’t fall for it. We will start by working on gratitude in our hearts, and this will be a powerful tool as we face our days. Lord, when we are tempted to feel down, we are going to turn our thoughts in a positive direction. We are going to remember what it says in Philippians 4:8: “… whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Thank you, Lord, for the gift of your Word which gently guides us in the right direction and gives us powerful truths to hold onto. And thank you for our strong minds, which don’t have to succumb to our negativity, but instead we can choose to think optimistic and grateful thoughts. We can choose to sing Your praises. We can choose to lift You up, which in turn lifts our hearts up as well. And we lift our hands in praise. Thank You, God. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Practice Gratitude: What are you thankful for. I am thankful to know that we can choose to think positive thoughts instead of negative ones. I am thankful for the Psalms because they are truly a treasure and they are uplifting. And I am thankful that we can lift our hands in praise because glorifying God is pleasing to Him and it makes our hearts feel good too.

What a wonderful prayer 🙏🏽. That verse – Philippians 4:8- is something we can truly hold onto and apply when we feel like we are surrounded by negative news.
I am thankful for the gift of His word too ( as you said in the prayer)
For my church – had a blessed time of worship and a wonderful word this morning.
For the simple joy of eating out. This year made me realise never to take that for granted.

Being able to attend church in person and also being able to go out to eat – they are both blessings for sure. We have much to be thankful for. Philippians 4:8 is such a great verse and so fitting for us all!
