Every day is a gift!
What an amazing November we had! I hope you all enjoyed the gratitude challenge as much as I did. It turned out to be such a rich month, as we drew closer to God. Spending time with Him in prayer, gratitude, and praise filled our hearts. I hope to continue making prayer, gratitude, and praise a part of my daily life. And I hope you will too.
This year has been a whirlwind, to say the least. The world saw much fear and heartache over a number of different issues. And we each faced personal battles on top of all that. But the gratitude challenge showed us how much we still have to be thankful for. Between all of us who shared what we were thankful for here on the blog, we tallied well over 450 blessings. How amazing is that? Even when life feels like a struggle, God is still showering us with an abundance of gifts.
The journey we took together really highlighted the goodness of God. We saw how God is always there. We were reminded of the precious gift of Jesus and salvation. We remembered that God is our protection, our source, our strength, and our provider. Our eyes were opened to the beauty around us. We saw how spending time daily with God is vital to our wellbeing. We grew in our friendships and relationships with others. And I dare say we truly felt the love and care of our Heavenly Father.
What a wonderful month we had. And my heart overflows with gratitude. I am grateful for God, who was by our sides throughout this journey. And I am grateful for each of you who walked the path with me. It truly was a blessing to have you here.
I will share one more song with you. It is one that my friend “Perth Girl” shared with me in one of the gratitude challenge posts. (She is also a blogger over at https://faithfood.blog/. Please check it out. You will love her enlightening and encouraging posts.) The song is such a beautiful reminder of what each day is all about, of what this gratitude challenge was about, and how our hearts should be focused on Him every single moment. Enjoy! I was certainly blessed by our month together focused on gratitude. I had highs, lows, laughs and tears. Through it all, God worked on my heart and strengthen my walk with Him.
I’m reading through the book of Luke in December. I look forward to finishing the year in God’s Word and will for my life ❤️🙏🏽

Renee, I am so glad you enjoyed the gratitude challenge. And I am truly glad you encouraged me to hold a challenge this year. Life is a lot like what you said – we have highs, lows, laughs, and tears. But how beautiful it all is when we stay anchored to God!! I just read through Luke, so I am in the book of John now. Maybe one December I can hold a Luke bible study on the blog? We shall see! God bless you, friend! ❤️

I had such a wonderful time joining you and others in this gratitude challenge. It was such a perspective shifting opportunity – it was usually the end of the day for me and it helped me reflect and see Gods hand with me through the day.
On days that I might not have felt like being too cheerful, reading your prayers, listening to the song would help me focus on what I should be grateful for and that made me feel so blessed.
Thank you Bridget.
Ooh I do very much like the sound of the Luke study through December- maybe next year. Before we know it we will be messaging about it 😉

I am so happy to know you enjoyed the challenge and I was extremely grateful to have your presence and perspective each day. I did feel bad about the fact that you would be reading the posts in the afternoon or evening. So thank you for sharing with me that it still worked out so beautifully. That is actually why I often focus on gratitude in the evening as well. Even when I had a bad day, I can see that there were still so many blessings in my day.
You are right, next December will be here in no time! I will try to make sure the Luke study happens, especially since I know that you are interested.
Thank you, my friend! ❤️

The gratitude challenge was a great way to get into this season of thankfulness and giving, and helped us all focus on the things that are important. Most importantly it helped us be mindful of God’s hand in our lives, and the many blessings we have been bestowed with every day! Thank you for sharing with all of us!

So very true! It can be easy to focus on the negative. But the truth is that God still provides and protects. He still loves and cares. We have Him and He is enough! ❤️
