Gratitude Challenge Day 14

Pray: Dear God, we confess that even though we have many blessings in front of us, there are still times when we worry about the future or fret about the past. This year has brought us a lot of uncertainty, which has increased our anxiety. But Father, we would like to start living in the present and enjoying the moment that we are living in, right here and right now. You always provide for us, guide us, and protect us. Knowing this should bring us contentment, if only we take the time to remember how You are always there for us. You lovingly extend Your hand, waiting for us to hand our troubles over to You. So today we remember the words that Jesus spoke which are recorded in Matthew 6:33-34: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” What a beautiful reminder that we should live one day at a time, in Your grace, love, mercy, and peace. We need not worry. We just need to seek You. So, Lord, today we make a conscious effort to hand all our worries over to You. We have peace knowing that You can handle everything, big or small. We look to You, Lord. And we thank You, Lord, for all that You are and all that You do. It is in Jesus’ name that we pray, Amen.

Practice Gratitude: What are you thankful for? I am so very thankful to know that I can put my future in the Lord’s hands, and I don’t have to worry about what may come. I am so thankful that I can put my past in God’s hands, because He has redeemed me. And I am thankful that I can live in this moment with God’s grace, mercy, love, and peace.

Praise. Here is today’s song! Enjoy! God I Look To You by Jenn Johnson

Please share in the comments if today’s reading spoke to you. Or you may add a prayer, your gratitude list, praise, etc.

  1. I’m thankful that I have a Heavenly Father that hears every heart thought that I have – and He loves me just the same.

There’s nothing I can do to escape Him and His love. There’s a passage in the Bible that says, “Where can I go and He’s not there?” Heaven, Hell, East, West, North it South…my Heavenly Father is ALWAYS there watching over me❤️.
    I’m eternally grateful 🙏🏽🥰

  2. So true that we can fret about the future unnecessarily. May we lay our past our present and future at His feet and know with assurance that He is always always always with us, watching over us and loving us.
I am thankful for His presence in my life every single day. That He is the source of my peace and For the Joy it brings with the knowledge that He has my future in His hands.
    Blessings my friend.
