Hello, Everyone! I hope you are all having a nice summer. I must admit, the summer here has not been very summery. In the sunshine state we have had rain daily. But I try to remember that God is in control and He knows best! And on the bright side, the rain has caused my husband and I to spend our time a little differently. We have been sitting indoors and playing board games more often on the weekends. See – there is always something to be thankful for! 🙂
But I am still looking forward to the fall for many reasons. Fall is one of my favorite seasons for starters. Bring on the pumpkin spice and the changing of the leaves! But I am also looking forward to the fall because there are exciting developments going on behind the scenes which you guys will enjoy. In the fall you will have access to my new book, You Are Redeemed! And throughout the month of November, we are going to have a gratitude challenge. I promise that it is going to be heaps of fun. You won’t want to miss it!
So stay tuned, my friends! And until then, try to find a unique way to enjoy this season!
Bridget A. Thomas, Author Spotlight
Check out this amazing author spotlight! Wow! What an honor! I am truly flattered by Aimee Ann’s words. 🙂
I thought it would be fun to discuss books! In this post, I will share what books I am currently reading.
As a book lover, I have a habit of reading multiple books at any given time. When I have a new book, I am usually eager to read it. So I start right away, even though I have not finished my current read yet.
Here are the books which I am currently reading:
1 – The Holy Bible. This one is always on my list. The best book ever. It is a personal letter from God to His children. The more we read God’s word, the more clearly we will hear His voice.
2 – The Book of Revelation Made Clear by Tim LaHaye and Timothy Parker. I don’t know about you, but I find the book of Revelation to be confusing at times. This book helps clear up the Bible’s final book.
3 – Kind Is the New Classy by Candace Cameron Bure (with Ami McConnell). It is so refreshing to find a popular actress whose life revolves around the Lord. What an inspiration Candace is to me and to so many others. I am so proud of her for always standing up for what she believes in, even when faced with severe adversity.
4 – The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi by Kathie Lee Gifford (with Rabbi Jason Sobel). My mother saw this book on television and mentioned it to me. I never really knew a lot about Kathie Lee Gifford, except that she was a talk show host and married to a former football player. But now that I know she is a Christian who loves digging deep into The Word, I have a newfound appreciation for her.
5 – A Heart Like His by Beth Moore. This is a Bible Study on King David. One interesting tidbit about David is that he wasn’t perfect. He was human and he made mistakes, just like we do. Yet he was called a man after God’s own heart. There is much we can glean from this man.
6 – Word Writers®: Ephesians by Denise J. Hughes. This is a study on the book of Ephesians. But it is different than most Bible studies. It encourages the reader to write out the text, rather than merely reading it. This helps us to slow down, savor, and ultimately gain more insight.
I hope you found this list interesting. And I would love to hear what you are currently reading!
I have exciting news! If you have been waiting for the paperback version of my book, Every Day is a Gift, to be released … the wait is over! It is now available on Amazon! 🎊🎶🌟🎂🎉🎁🤸♀️🎈📚📖 Currently it is listed separately from the ebook. But within a few days, Amazon should join them together.
Over the past five weeks, I have been working on this in all my spare time. It might seem that it should be easy to get the paperback format finalized, since we already had all the content completed in the ebook. But there were so many different details that came into play with the paperback.
I have to admit that at times it was very frustrating. But I have learned a lot, and not just about book publishing either. I have had some insights on myself and my walk with the Lord. So even though I would have liked to have seen the paperback published earlier, I wouldn’t change anything. I know that God always works everything out for the best. ✝️
Please check out my book on Amazon! I hope you enjoy it! And please leave a review as well. I would love to hear your thoughts on the book. Thank you, friends! Happy Reading!
Happy Easter! Oh what a beautiful day! He is risen! Praise God for this day and for what Jesus has done for us! ❤️
I have great news that I wanted to share with you. My book, Every Day is a Gift, is now available on Amazon in ebook format. And it is free for a short time. So please go check it out today! I truly hope you enjoy it! 🎁
I have dreamt about this day for decades. I always wanted to be a writer. But I never thought this dream would actually come true. But God knew better. God made a way. God helped bring my dreams to fruition. So if there is something you are dreaming for and it just seems way to big to ever accomplish – DON’T GIVE UP! God is so good and so awesome and so amazing. He can make your dreams a reality. Nothing is too big for Him! ❤️
Welcome! I am so glad you stopped by! My name is Bridget. I love to write, encourage others, read, and crochet a little in my spare time. I enjoy going to the mountains to chase black bears with my husband. And we also love going to college baseball games.
I need a whole lot of grace from Jesus, every single day. My goal in life is to learn to live freely in Jesus. And to be transparent with those I encounter. And then, in turn, I hope that I can help other people to learn to live freely in Jesus as well.
I have always wanted to be a writer. Most days I never really thought that this dream of writing would become a reality. I had pretty much given up on becoming a writer. But somehow, someway, God pulled through. He always does. And that is something I want others to see. How amazing He is. If there is something you are hoping for, don’t give up! Turn your dreams over to God and allow Him to work it out.
I hope you will come back often, with a cup of coffee or tea, so we can chat. And together we can grow in faith and the awesome love of Jesus!
