The Redeemed Challenge – Day 21
Good morning! Today is Day 21 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we read that nothing can separate us from God’s love. What an uplifting verse that give us encouragement with whatever we are facing today. We all face scary things in life. Just because we have given our lives to God doesn’t mean we won’t have struggles. Our enemy will attack us in different ways, trying to bring us down. But we need to remember that God is always there. We are never alone. And nothing can ever separate you from the love of the Lord.

The Redeemed Challenge – Day 20
Good morning! Today is Day 20 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we read about the fact that we are forgiven. This is something that we know is true as Christians. Yet we don’t always allow that truth to sink deep into our hearts. I hope you can hold this truth in your heart today. If you are a Christian, then you are forgiven. Allow this word “forgiven” to release you of whatever regrets you are holding onto. Whatever burdens you are gripping, let them go. Once you do, you will feel a weight lifted off your shoulders. You were never meant to carry those things around. The price has already been paid by the blood of Jesus.

Good morning! Today is Day 19 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we read a powerful truth, that we are Christ’s ambassador. We represent Jesus wherever we go. How amazing that we hold this position of influence? As Christians, we really do have a lot more power than we realize. We have the opportunity to positively influence everyone we encounter. Instead of letting the world bring us down, let’s start making an impact on those around us.

The Redeemed Challenge – Day 18
Good morning! Today is Day 18 of the Redeemed Challenge! Sometimes we get discouraged about the roadblocks in our path or dreams that didn’t work out like we planned. In today’s chapter of the book, we read about something that brings us hope. Whatever path you are on, God will continue His good work within you. I heard my pastor say recently that God loves us too much to leave us the way He found us. I really loved that because without Him we are nothing. But with Him, think of the amazing people we could become. Think of the things we could accomplish. And our hopes and dreams can come to fruition in much bigger ways than we could have imagined.

Good morning! Today is Day 17 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we read an amazing reminder that we sometimes forget – the Holy Spirit is with us 24/7. Sometimes we might feel as though God is out of our reach. Since we can’t see Him face-to-face, we might doubt that He is there. But as Christians, we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. All day, every day. He is there!

The Redeemed Challenge – Day 16
Good morning! Today is Day 16 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we discuss one of the most beautiful verses in the Bible where it tells us that although people look at outward appearances, God looks at our hearts. The Bible verse in today’s chapter is one of my favorites. I think it’s safe to say that we all have been misunderstood or overlooked at times. But we don’t have to let other people’s opinions bring us down. When you feel like you don’t belong, remember that God sees your heart.

Yesterday, I was nominated for the Liebster Award by Summer at notyourseason.com! Thank you so much! What an honor!
Before I go any further, I must share the rules of the Liebster Award. These are:

11 Facts About Me:
- I have a Bachelor’s degree.
- I was “this close” to signing up for grad school when I graduated college. And now the thought it makes me tired. LOL.
- If I did decide to go back to school, I would like to go to Bible school.
- I love the Hallmark Channel’s Christmas movies.
- I like playing Yahtzee.
- Every evening I write down at least 5 things that I am thankful for and/or good things that happened during the day.
- I work for a hospital in their IT department. My favorite job duty is writing SQL reports. But I also work on the EMR software that the doctors and nurses use.
- I have published two books and I will soon be publishing my third.
- I have two dogs.
- I want to go to Alaska.
- It took me a really long time to think of 11 facts about myself! LOL.
Questions Asked:
- How did you first get into blogging? I always wanted to write. But many things kept me from pursuing it. After following some other blogs that I enjoyed, I made a WordPress account. Actually, I recently received a “badge” or sorts from WordPress saying it was my 5 year anniversary. But I still had some false starts. When I was about to publish my first book, I became more dedicated to writing on my blog.
- How do you want to improve yourself in the next year? (Blogging or personal??) I am always trying to work on self-improvement. So there are a lot of things I could say here. But I will go with: I would like for my writing to improve. And I find the more I practice, the better I get.
- What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time? Read.
- What was your worst subject in school? Hmmm, maybe science?
- What takes up the most of your time? Work. And commuting one hour each way, doesn’t help.
- How different is as your life one year ago? On the outside, it is not very different. But I would like to think that each day I grow in my walk with the Lord.
- Where is the most relaxing place you’ve ever been? The mountains.
- What TV show or movie do you refuse to watch? The Simpsons.
- What are you looking forward to in the coming months? I love fall and winter. And I love the holidays. So I am excited that fall is almost here. And that means Thanksgiving and Christmas are on the way!
- What could you give a 40 minute presentation on with no prep at all? Wow, 40 minutes. I am not a big talker, so I think that might be difficult for me on any topic. I could probably tell cute stories about my dogs for that long. LOL. I would like to think I could talk about the Bible for that long too?
- If you had unlimited funds, but you could only eat the same breakfast, same lunch and same dinner for the rest of your life, what three meals would they be? Well my husband and I have been eating eggs for breakfast every day for a long time. I admit that I am getting tired of them. But they have protein and keep you more satisfied than something with sugar in it. For lunch, maybe a salad. And for dinner, you can’t go wrong with spaghetti!

The Redeemed Challenge – Day 15
Good morning! Today is Day 15 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we learn that if we are moldable like clay, God can turn our lives into a beautiful work of art. I really love this reminder. I picture God sitting at a Potter’s wheel, molding each of us into a beautiful work of art. It makes me want to take a step back and get out of His way, so He can mold my life into a masterpiece.

Good morning! Today is Day 14 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we read about the wonderful rest that is at our fingertips as children of God. We live in a fast-paced world. You know it’s bad when you hear even children talking about stress. So I think it’s safe to say we all could use some rest – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. So how do we get that rest? But handing our worries over to God and trusting in Him.

The Redeemed Challenge – Day 13
Good morning! Today is Day 13 of the Redeemed Challenge! In today’s chapter of the book, we see that although at times we might feel like we don’t have much influence on those around us, the truth is that we are the light of the world. If you’re like me, then maybe you’re easily influenced by other people’s moods, words, and actions. This is not a good thing, because it means we are easily brought down. As Christians, we have to be strong and let our light shine in this dark world!
